Roberto (“Rob”) E. MaldonadoAssociate
Rob Maldonado has wide ranging experience in labor and employment issues involving federal employees. He is a former federal agency attorney with over 25 years of experience as a federal sector labor and employment lawyer. He has an extensive background in matters involving federal employees, especially in the Aviation and Homeland Security Sectors.
As a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) attorney based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Rob represented the agency, with successful results, in numerous EEOC and MSPB cases. He handled these cases at both the trial and appellate levels. In addition, he served as an agency representative for management in labor union arbitrations involving unions and their employees.
After 11 years with the FAA, Rob joined the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at the time of its inception as a new federal agency under the new U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Based out of Missouri, he provided advice on all aspects of TSA laws and policies. He advised agency management and Human Resources personnel on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including disciplinary actions, claims of discrimination, worker performance, worker’s compensation, and internal investigations.
Rob attended the University of Kansas Law School and participated in multiple clinical programs, including Moot Court Council and the representation of indigent criminal defendants.
