Chaya Gourarie

Chaya Gourarie is a Partner at Bell Law Group, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on labor and employment law. She represents clients in all facets of the employer–employee relationship, including hiring, compensation, classification, accommodations, internal investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Ms. Gourarie handles complex cases involving sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and wage-and-hour violations, and is known for developing creative, practical strategies that balance risk and results.

A seasoned litigator, Ms. Gourarie has successfully represented both employers and employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR), the Department of Labor (DOL), as well as in state and federal courts. Her professional background provides her with a rare dual perspective—understanding the challenges faced by both employers and employees—which enables her to achieve effective and equitable outcomes. Ms. Gourarie is widely regarded for her exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, with a deep command of employment law and a talent for crafting persuasive arguments in complex matters.

Beyond employment law, Ms. Gourarie has aggressively litigated cases under the Child Victims Act (CVA) and Adult Survivors Act (ASA), obtaining justice for survivors of sexual abuse. She is deeply devoted to this cause and is known for guiding her clients through the legal process with skill, sensitivity, and compassion.

She is an active member of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) and serves on the Editorial Board of the Women Lawyers Journal.

Ms. Gourarie has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star each year since 2018 for her excellence in employment law, and has been recognized as a Rising Star by NAWL in 2024.

She resides in Manalapan, New Jersey, and enjoys spending time with her family.
